Let your imagination
take you
Two bikes parked.
They catch my eye.
Out in the middle of nowhere.
My mind wanders.
What is their story?
Are the riders coming back?
No locks on the bikes.
Oh, the level of trust.
Everything is quiet.
The bikes are waiting.
Time stops.
I want to know more.
Is it a young couple on a walk in the woods?
Or perhaps two boys that stopped to fish
in the nearby river?
I may never know the answer.
So I make up my own.
